Welcome to CannaKing Ayurvedic Remedies

From treating cancer, epilepsy and schizophrenia to helping societies fight alcoholism and drug abuse.

Ayurved is nearly 5000 years old, regarded as one of the oldest healing practices on the planet. The word ‘Ayurved’ originates from Sanskrit, meaning ‘the science of life’. It focuses on treating an ailment at its roots, unlike allopathy, which focuses on the symptoms. Cannabis was cited in the Atharva Veda as “as one the five most sacred plants on Earth and says that a guardian angel resides in its leaves. It also refers to it as a “source of happiness,” a “joy-giver” and a “liberator”. In India, Cannabis was historically used by Brahmins and Sadhus to induce both relaxation and altered states of consciousness, which were beneficial for them in deep meditation. As alcohol was deemed taboo and Tamasic, therefore making it an inappropriate choice for the highest of Castes, these Holy men would utilize this herb in several different forms to suit their needs. The inhaling of smoke from Hashish was a common practice, as well as the ingestion of a concoction of milk, spices and the leaves of the Cannabis plant, also known as Bhang. This beverage has stood the test of time and is still widely consumed in India during the Holi Festival.

Cannabis is again fighting its way into the mainstream

Modern medicine

As cited by Harvard Health- Cannabis is known to ease the pain of multiple sclerosis, and nerve pain in general. This is an area where few other options exist, and those that do, such as Neurontin, Lyrica, or opiates are highly sedating. Patients claim that Cannabis allows them to resume their previous activities without feeling completely out of it and disengaged. Along these lines, Cannabis is said to be a fantastic muscle relaxant, and people swear by its ability to lessen tremors in Parkinson’s Disease .

Economy

Regarded as one of the most versatile plants on the planet, it is used for an enormous array of industrial purposes. Hemp grown on 1 acre of land can produce as much paper as can be produced from 4 acres of trees. A stronger lighter and sustainable alternative to concrete, ‘hempcrete’ is used as material for construction and insulation. In the automotive sector, Henry Ford demonstrated its prowess in 1941 by making a hemp car which runs on hemp- ethanol fuel! From sustainable fabrics to vegan leather, hemp can do it all.

Environment

In this era of unstable climatic conditions, hemp comes as a saviour for farmers. With high resistance to extreme weather changes and the ability to thrive in scarce water, hemp ensures yield to the growers at surprisingly low cultivation costs. It yields 220% more fibre than cotton and is naturally pest resistant. Hemp fibre is 6 times stronger than steel. Being carbon neutral and/or negative, hemp restores nutrients back to the soil and makes it fertile and rich in nutrients. Short maturity cycles of about 3-4 months, it helps farmers grow the crop up to 4 times a year!

Hindu Theology

A testament to the medicinal properties of cannabis is given by legendary sage, Ved Vyas. According to Vishnu puran, while the gods were churning the ocean in search of ‘Amrit’ elixir of immortality, a poison (Halahal) first emerged. Lord Shiv swallowed the poison so the rest of the gods can drink the elixir. To alleviate the pain caused by the poison, the Gods gave Lord Shiv a paste of cannabis leaves, called ‘Bhang’.

Our Vision

strategically diversified portfolio

We aim to expand into the world of hemp by creating vested interests in the cosmetics and skincare market, and construction material while also expanding into biofuel, fiber, textiles, and all the other avenues allowed and promoted by the government of India as well as the international market. We further hope to conduct in-depth studies and research into the benefits as well uses of the hemp plant as a whole.
